Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer Review
The Collection concealer is something greatly raved about in the blogosphere. I decided to jump on the bandwagon and get myself some and to be honest I was impressed. I'll go even further and say I think it's pretty amazing. When I walked in to boots wielding my £10 I did not expect to find it was just £4.19! I'm pretty sure I stood there in shock for at least a minute. After getting over my shock I started to test them. With only 4 shades to choose from I was slightly disappointed but the price was so amazing I got over it. After umm'ing and ahh'ing between Light and Fair I chose Light. It's a near match! Its quite thick and gives full coverage but is easily blended to look au naturel. It doesn't go cakey or flakey hardly at all! It claims to last for 16 hours but if it did I think I would've fainted with shock. Even though it doesn't last 16 hours it definitely stays put for the majority of the day! I have just one problem. The packaging. The size of it and the doe foot applicator are good. But the writing on it rubs off after a little while. While this doesn't affect the product it is slightly annoying! But I think that's about it so it's still a must have! I recommend it immensely!
Also another exciting thing is that today I'm changing my blog completely! The URL will now be the-painted-princess.blogspot.com! I hope you all like the name change and the new look of my blog :-)

Name Change!
This is just a quick post to tell you all I'm changing my blog name! I really don't like the name 500 Days Of Katy and I feel I chose it in a rush because I was so eager to start blogging! I'm changing my blog name and URL to the-painted-princess . The reason I chose this is because I have always loved what princesses symbolise. I would always associate them with fashion and beauty and I think everyone would secretly love to be a princess! (still convinced I'm a princess and I was stolen like Rapunzel okay don't judge me!) The painted part is a reference to make-up. Putting on make-up is essentially painting your skin so yeah! My main worry is that I will lose readers and I don't want that to happen :-( I will be leaving this post up for a week before I go ahead and change it so hopefully everyone will see it. I hope you all enjoy my new name!
Love you all lots!
Love you all lots!

Pottery!
I am the most uncrafty (great word Katy) person you may ever come across and the thought of DIY simply scares me *shudders*. However I decided to venture into the unknown and go pottery painting with two of my best friends. I don't know why I was nervous, I didn't even make the pottery I just painted it, but still. The place we went was called Grapevine in Norwich and it was the cutest place ever! We could choose whatever we wanted to paint! I chose a flower shaped bowl and thought I could use it for storing a few beauty related things! (Everything will be linked to beauty in someway!) After I started painting it I fell in love. It was really therapeutic and it was a great way to relax my mind a little bit. It was so easy to do and I really loved chilling with my friends and have a general chit chat. I didn't really plan what I was going to paint I just kind of went with it. I like how it came out and it's not the neatest, as it was my first time but I quite like it like that. It's got a very homemade feel about it. I was unsure about pottery painting as I thought it would be boring! I was very wrong though because I loved it! I really recommend it!

Barry M Lipstick
After venturing into Boots, which I should never do as I always come out with a bucket full of stuff, I decided to get some Barry M Lip Paint. This is the first Barry M lipstick I've bought and I'm not quite convinced although I may just get there. After delighting myself by colouring in the back of my hand with the testers I decided on get the Lip Paint in shade 153. I've also seen this shade be called 'Pink Ribbon' but I'm not sure so I'm sticking with shade 153. It's a bright pink colour which I think is really pretty. It would probably suit most skin tones although maybe not really pale people. It is very pigmented and goes on quite smoothly so one coat is enough to achieve pretty pink lips which is good. The packaging is surprisingly nice, a matt black case, which is actually really small. I find this lipstick to be quite drying and I've heard this is one of the traits of a lot of Barry M lipsticks, however this can be solved by wearing lip balm or Vaseline or something underneath. Happy Days! :-) They are not incredibly long lasting, but they're not terrible. I usually get around 2-3 hours of wear out of it unless I eat or drink a lot (happens regularly!) which means that it will wear off. This doesn't put me off though as I think its to be expected. The best bit about Barry M lipsticks is the price. £4.49! This is where I should of stopped and thought 'Can a £4.50 lipstick really be that amazing?' But I convinced myself with the usual 'stop underestimating cheap prodcuts' and bought it. I think for what I paid for, I got a good product and therefore if you're feeling like it buy one! It probably wont be your favourite lipstick, but its a cheap and cheerful addition to my ever growing make-up collection!
P.S I completely forgot a swatch, I am very sorry, I will remember in the future :-)

Mini Holiday!
I do love a good holiday, even if it's just a mini one! I went with my family to Alton Towers and Blackpool for three days this week and I can honestly say I loved it! Theme Parks are one of my guilty pleasures. I love them an incredible amount. Since I have a massive love for Theme Parks it seemed right that I buy an Annual Pass for all of them! I just can't get enough! Theme Park ramblings aside I also visited Blackpool and climbed the Blackpool Tower, visited lots of famous people at Madame Tusssauds and gazed at lots of little fishies and crabs at the Sea Life centre. Even though it was far from a relaxing holiday it was nice to have a little time away from home! And I got to meet Keith Lemon!
Just Kidding! Although I did get to meet his wax work double! I had a great time and I'm looking forward to my next getaway!
Have you been on any mini holidays recently? Where is your favourite place to go?
